‘Blended’: It’s actually not that bad

I don’t know if it’s the deluge of negative reviews that lowered my expectations of the new comedy Blended, but I actually found this latest rom-com from Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore enjoyable enough.

A very deep regard for ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’

A few weeks ago, my 1-year-old was bitten by a dog. He’s just a little boy and the dog was huge, so the bite was pretty high up on his body; it was on his left arm, near the shoulder blade.

“Mommy, the bite is near his brain so it’s Category 3,” the resident doctor told me.

“How many category levels are there?”

“Three.”

I nearly died.

I find that critics are sometimes a little too hard on movies. Don’t you?

Say Star Trek Into Darkness. I absolutely loved it. And so did many non-critics I know. So I went positively livid when someone at work told me that, after reading some negative reviews, he realized the sequel wasn’t as good as he originally felt it was.
