Ack! In less than five hours, I’ll be fortunate enough to see Avengers: Age of Ultron… and I have yet to do my homework! A few days ago, I vowed to finally finish 2012’s The Avengers, but I still can’t get myself to do it.
Still, I am excited about this sequel. My sister said she prefers it to the first one, and a friend said that even though she didn’t think it was very good, she thought it was really funny. And funny is all I need. The reason I can’t get myself to finish The Avengers is that somewhere during the big NYC battle, the movie stopped being funny and instead became too Cartoon Network for my taste.
With those comments about the funny in my head, I’m feeling a lot of good will toward Age of Ultron. I have to say, I’m quite excited! Below are the 5 things I’m most excited about.

Time to finish this! (Photo courtesy of Marvel/Disney)
While searching for an archived adobo recipe in my inbox this morning, I got a really nice surprise: an invite to a free screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron!
Now the pressure is really on to finish 2012’s The Avengers. I’ve tried several times, but I always found myself losing interest somewhere during the big NYC battle/climax. I don’t know. There’s something about it that was a letdown for me. The buildup was great–the chemistry of the cast, the dialogue, the humor, it was all great and immensely enjoyable. But for all that to lead to something like the big NYC battle felt a bit like child’s play to me. Like, if I wanted something like that, I’d watch the Cartoon Network.

Walt Disney Studios Philippines will release nine movies in 2015, led by Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the live-action Cinderella, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first Star Wars installment since 2005.
